Specifically, this hardware features a latch with a tooth that hooks into the included strike plate to hold the door closed. From the interior, this type of pocket door lock can only be locked and unlocked via a turn button. Additionally, as a safety feature, this type of pocket door lock can be unlocked from the exterior using a coin or flathead screwdriver.
• DOOR PREPARATION: Door preparation includes drilling a 2-1/8" diameter borehole on the door’s face to make room for the hardware’s faces. Prep also includes chiseling a 2-1/4" x 1" depression and drilling a 2-3/8" hole in the door’s edge to fit the strike and latch for the hardware. Utilize the included template for best results.
